think that's pretty uncommon in band music,but i did rest for 52 bars before on piccolo part -.- . that's spiral resonance.
43 and 28 for tchaikovsky's 5th symphony's finale.count until u count wrong ar .... LOL!
but ok fine. that's pretty common in orchestral music, i heard from some conductor that trombones sometimes rest up to over 100 bars...
and i recall twain playing symphony no.5 of beethoven on tbone and came in only on 3rd movement if i remember correctly =\.
ok .so that's that. piccolo hai..intonation problematic instrument.but lovely =.=
poulenc flute sonata, seems like it's killing yuqing =\. aww man....why make the piano accompaniment part so hard when it's a flutey piece....sorry yuqing >.< .. =X =\ =(\)
